XI-Builder

What is XI-Builder?

XI-Builder is a small command line tool for creating XI instruments (XI as in FastTracker 2 format) out of wav files. It does this by using the wav files and determining their position on the keyboard based on the filename (which means that the filename must contain for example the note C3).

Requirements

• A C++ compiler, like g++
• Standard C++ libraries (may require Cygwin on Windows; haven't checked)
• A make utility, like GNU make
• libsndfile, available here

Download

The newest version of XI-Builder is 0.01 and can be downloaded below:

• xibuilder-0.01.tar.bz2

Installation

This should do the trick:

tar xjf xibuilder-X.XX.tar.bz2
make install
