Welcome to the Kristian and Broen’s guide to dried foods. Since we ate so much dried foods on our biking trip, we decided to share our experience about them to the world.
Trek’n’eat – Noodles in soy bolognese | Pretty good meal, but use less water than the recipe says. |
Aptonia – Shepherd’s pie | A lot of food in this one! Needs some more salt and pepper, so you better add that while stiring. And stir it well, because some powder easily gets stuck in the corners of the bag and remains dry. |
Adventure food – Rice satay | Pretty good meal, but needs more salt and pepper. |
Adventure food – Omelette | We had this one for breakfast. The bag was really difficult to open, so make sure you have a knife handy. It also needs some more salt and pepper. |
Aptonia – Pasta and beef in sauce | Needs some salt and pepper. There is really little sauce in this meal, so the title lies a bit. Otherwise it’s quite tasty. |
Aptonia – Chicken couscous | This one wasn’t very good in my opinion. It was really tasteless unless you added lots of both salt and pepper. |
Drytech – Cereal | This was an oatmeal with apple and cinnamon type of meal, and was really good. No complaints at all! |
Drytech – Game casserolle | Also called “Viltgryte” in Norwegian, this one was disappointing. It was too greasy, and not at all what you would expect. |
Trekking Mahlzeiten – Musli swiss style with milk powder | Really good, this one! |
Trek’n’eat – Potato stu with beef | This one was also quite good! |
